Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 1 drizzle olive oil
  • to taste Kosher salt

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400℉.
  • Trim bottoms of asparagus spears and discard them.
  • Wash asparagus and place it on paper towel to dry.
  • Place the dried asparagus in small baking dish in a single layer.
  • Drizzle olive oil over asparagus, ensuring each spear is evenly coated.
  • Sprinkle Kosher salt over the asparagus, ensuring each spear is evenly seasoned.
  • Mix the asparagus gently to ensure the oil and salt are well distributed.
  • Place baking dish with asparagus into the preheated oven, uncovered.
  • Roast for 10 minutes, during which time, check the asparagus for softening.
  • Turn asparagus spears over to promote even cooking.
  • Continue roasting until asparagus reaches your preferred level of softness.
  • Once the asparagus is roasted to you liking, remove it from oven.
  • TIP: If you like your asparagus more on the crunchy side, continue cooking it until it becomes brown on the edges.
